NICOLEHOLLIS have completed a six-year, $61m (€55m, £47m) renovation of the 1930s-era Kimpton Angler’s Hotel South Beach in Miami, which included the construction of a new building.

The hotel, which is said to have been a private haven for anglers, has been reimagined as a place of respite and relaxation for guests.

Its design recalls Miami's citrus and tobacco agricultural heritage and early railroad and sea-faring beginnings as a trade and cultural exchange hub with the Caribbean, mixing light and dark, textured walls, lava rock-textured coffee tables and tobacco-coloured accents.

The new building allowed the building to add 85 new guest rooms, taking it up to 132 in total, as well as a new rooftop pool and sundeck, new meeting and event spaces, a new living room lobby and new bar.

Accommodation includes are one-, two- and three-storey guest rooms and suites ranging in size from 400-1,000sq ft (37-93sq m).

The rooftop pool and sun deck is situated six floors up and provides panoramic views of the ocean, South Beach and the Miami skyline.

Guests have access to a nearby OrangeTheory Fitness gym and can enjoy a massage, facial, body treatment and other spa services in their rooms or by the pool.

There is also 19,000sq ft (1,800sq m) of "uniquely unconventional" events space, including a meeting room, a terrace, a deck and pre-function reception space.
